The Composer
About
I am Mehdi, a french independent composer writing original orchestral music for games. My work lives in the space between the map and the story — the theme that plays when a player first crests a ridge, the low drums that tell them a fight is coming, the quiet music of an inn at night.
My approach is simple: music is narration. Before writing a note, I learn the world — its geography, its history, its silences. Then I look for the melodic material that belongs to it, and build the score outward from there, so that every cue, from menu to final battle, feels like it was found in the same place.
I grew up on the great fantasy scores — sweeping orchestral worlds where a single flute line could make a mountain feel ancient — and that tradition of patient, melodic, story-first writing is the foundation of everything I compose.
